Elemental Soul Medicine

Back in 2006, I discovered a jewelry making technique, that wasn’t only fun, but also very grounding, healing, and enlightening for me.

At the time I was attending Wellness School in Cologne, Germany. And that meant packing up and traveling 172 miles every Monday morning and every Friday afternoon – to travel by car – from Pirmasens , Germany > to Cologne , Germany.

It also meant being seperated from my husband during the week and basically leading 2 seperate lives during the week. With 2 seperate households to take care of. It was a very stressful and trying 1,5 years. But in hindsight this time served many empowering life lessons, insights, breakthroughs, and awakenings.

The jewelry making, that I had learned about through a friend in the summer of 2006,  was a very welcome therapeutic activity for me. It had entered into my life as the perfect soul medicine.

To this day I make jewelry with this macrame technique.

It grounds me, blesses me, and serves as ‘active meditation and contemplation’ when I am feeling restless and in need of clarity and grounding. I enjoy it most when I bead outside with Mother Nature surrounding me 🙂

It is ultimately how ‘Jewelry For A Cause’ was born.

At the time of doing Wellness School to get certified as a Wellness Trainer & Coach ….2 themes kept showing up in my life :

1.) I kept being told by spiritual healers, shamans, and psychics that I was not grounded and needed to learn how to ground myself here on earth. It was time to stop with the ‘heads in the cloud’ phenomena that kept showing up in my life.

2.) I also kept being told that my energies (masculine & feminine essence) were not balanced and that it were important for me to balance these energies within me and in my life to ground my dreams and desires and to manifest well-being.

Honestly, I had no idea what they were talking about !

But since my dad had taught me to always keep an open mind and heart, I did. And I used my jewelry making time to contemplate what they had shared with me, reflected on what it meant to me personally, and meditated on what my intuition and divine guidance was telling me about establishing grounding and balance in my life.

When I did, the elements kept showing up in my life ~ earth, water, fire, air.

Now I am very practical about my spirituality.

Simple : I am a soul having a human experience here on earth and I experience my higher calling through my heart.

Spirituality to me always has to be practical! If I cannot bring heaven onto earth, what is the the point!… Right!?

I think it strange when people call it WooWoo. But I respect that not all humans perceive themselves at soul level first. And that is okay.

Today I invite you to keep an open mind and heart as to what I am sharing here with you in this blog post.

Try not to label it.

Stop trying to get this on a mental level.

Rather open up to what your heart’s wisdom, intuition, and divine guidance is inviting you to understand holistically.

In my many hours of making jewelry and meditating, contemplating, and reflecting on balance and the elements, I began to truly understand what it means to be grounded on earth.

And what it means to be balanced in my feminine essence, as well as my masculine essence.

As I used materials and colors that reminded me of the elements : earth (wood beads and earthy tones), water (shells), air (feathers), and fire (orange, red, gold) I began to understand…. The beading , using materials that embodied the elements for me, seemed to intuitively anchor an understanding inside my heart.

1 Earth

The EARTH teaches you to align your actions, step by step. These are very ‘grounded’ steps. Slow and steady wins the race. That kind of energy in your actions.

2 Water
WATER teaches you to infuse your inspired action with magnetism. Water is all about your feelings and emotions. Water teaches you emotional intelligence and how to keep your emotional current clear and clean.

3 Air
AIR helps you align your focus with your desired outcome. Air is all about vibration of thoughts, consciousness, mind set, and new ideas. And sometimes a breath of fresh air is needed to fan the fire. Air is important to keep the fire burning. When air (ideas, concepts, thoughts) is channeled properly….it leads to inspired and aligned action (fire).

4 Fire
FIRE supports you in taking passionate action consistently to realize your dreams and to stand up for what you believe in.

And SPIRIT supports you in divine union of it all. Spirit is source wanting to be expressed through YOU. Uniquely you!

Life can be magical! All you need do is show up for it :-))

…..ALL lead the way to your desired outcome.

Understanding how the elements work through you and how they show up in your life, not only grounds you and your work here on earth, but it also very naturally and organically balances your feminine essence with your masculine essence.

Working with the natural rhythms and cycles of the earth, reconnecting to the Wheel of the Year, Moon Cycles, the Astrology Wheel, the natural rhythms cycles of Day/Night, Yin/Yang…..has been the ultimate Sacred Self Care Practice that I could have gifted myself with.

It’s a Sacred Self Care Practice that supports me in embodying the powerful force and creator that I am, and makes me irresistible magnetic to my highest path and desired outcome. And all of it from a place of ultimate balance (divine feminine/sacred masculine).

That is why I spoke of the elements in my latest New Moon Broadcast on Monday, 8th February, when the New Moon was in Aquarius.

I invite you to watch the broadcast to connect to your own inner wise woman.

Much love and sparkly kisses, Nadia.

  • I’ve seen chakra-related jewelry online but hadn’t ever thought about jewelry as a way to reflect a specific element before. I have, however, noticed lots of feathers showing up around The Inner Critic Advantage. I’m not sure what that means but you’ve got me intrigued, girlfriend.
