Soul Fire, Keep It Burning !

On Monday it was Imbolc also known as the renewal and the return of light.

It marks the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. It’s also the first sign of the end of winter, which means it’s a perfect time for new beginnings and for watering those seeds that you planted during the Winter Solstice.

After reading up more about Imbolc and what the energy of the day holds and embodies , I found out that Brigid, the Celtic Fire Goddess, is celebrated by many on this day and can beautifully support you to stand up for what you believe in.

Goddess Brigid

I then went ahead, grabbed my Doreen Virtue Goddess Guidance Oracle Card Deck, and looked up the message Brigid has for us on this day:

‘First be quite clear about your intentions. If you’re unclear, then confusion will lessen your power and force. Like a candle in the dark, be very clear and bright in what is acceptable to you in this situation. Speak about your needs and your deepest truth! Now is the time to touch your power, for its heat and flame will ignite your passion, which will propel you forward in countless ways. Even in the face of fear, you can still stand up for your ideals and your truth. Be unwavering and make your stand today!’

It got even more powerful when I realized that I had posted a meme and quote on my FB page ‘Nadia’s Sanctuary Sisterhood’, very intuitively, that very much carried the energy of standing in your truth, being courageous, by standing up for yourself.

I have noticed that once we tune into the rhythms of the earth, the moon cycles, the equinoxes, the new moons, the full moons….we begin to be reconnected to our divine feminine essence, our intuition, our wisdom, our passion, our vibrancy, our knowing, and our soul fire!

Taking care of ourselves in this way becomes easy and is accompanied by grace. It feels natural and organic.

By the response I got on my FB wall after I shared the meme and quote…..I could see that we are awakening as a collective of women who are healing their feminine spirit and essence, as well as  balancing it with the sacred masculine essence within them.

The sacred masculine within them helps them be courageous, take passionate action, and ask for what it is they need.

So today on this ‘Soul Fire Wednesday’ I ask you to tune into the energy of Imbolc and the message that Brigid has for YOU.

Ask yourself : How do I feel? What do I need?  Do I need support?

And then go out there and get your needs met!!

  • Love this, Nadia! I purposely don’t participate in the cultural habit of making New Year’s resolutions because it doesn’t flow with the wheel of the year at all (and because it’s largely a way to devalue ourselves because we are focused on what’s wrong and needs fixing). I believe the month of January continues to be a reflective period and a time of rest that culminates as we enter into February and celebrate Imbolc, leading to a period of time where we begin to plant all that we’ve reflected on. The weeks between Imbolc and Beltane are a powerful time to manifest your vision! Thanks for a great post 🙂

  • I am so new to learning about my Celtic Heritage, thank you for this! I find it funny…I could NOT get my act together for New Years Resolutions for 2016. In the last week I finally have been able to set some goals and it was easy and clear. Funny that it lines up with Imbolec! <3
